In a bid to raise awareness about safe driving, CMS College of Education organized road safety rally on 13.04.2017. The awareness rally that commenced in CMS College of Education campus was flagged off by our Chairman Sri.K.Rajagopalan and Secretary Sri.K.Vijayakumar, in the presence of Sub-Inspector of Saravanampatti Branch Police Station. The rally was taken out as a part of the road safety theme “Safety is not a slogan; it’s a way of life.” The participants reached out to the public and campaigned on road safety.

CMS College of Education students at the rally held posters and banners displaying road safety rules and distributed stickers to commuters. They were seen interacting with bikers and auto-drivers for safe rides on the road. Students interacted with people and tried to educate them on the various rules and regulations of driving in order to keep themselves safe on the road and also discussed the importance of first-aid kits. The main objective was to increase awareness of road safety amongst the local road users with this drive. The rally began from the college premises. Students throughout the rally, exhibited their eagerness and enthusiasm. The campaigners carried ‘Placards’ highlighting the importance of road safety and fatal risks caused by vehicles. The rally proceeded through the fares of the town and culminated at the starting point. This programme created awareness among the public.

The participants reached out to the public and campaigned on road safety.

Slogans were raised by the students during the rally. Some of them are as follows:
1.Life is risky after whisky
2.Accident brings tears, safety brings cheers
3.Alert today, alive tomorrow

The event also received extensive local media coverage.
